Grace Ferguson

Grace is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and piano educator based at Eastmint Studios in Naarm, Australia.

Her works are a response to specific environments, finding a subconscious understanding and its culmination in sound; they often reflect curiosity in memory, intangibles and chance. Grace’s practice encompasses a variety of music projects including the presentation of solo art music and ensemble collaborations, as well as composition and sound design for theatre, dance and film.

Coalescing composed and improvised material, Grace’s live performances draw from her classical training and other historic music traditions; although she often enjoys subverting many of these conventions through a modern, feminine lens.
