Duke Street Block Party 2022

Duke Street Block Party is back bigger and better!
Saturday 19th March 2022 our boutique festival returns, now expanding into Bond Street.

Duke Street Block Party is a street-party built from Naarm’s imaginative spirit. A transcendent day showcasing a blender of music and style; an affirmation of our city’s forward-thinking, creative underground. Presented by Crown Ruler, Untitled Group, and denizens of Duke Street itself - Moon Dog Craft Brewery, experience a hybrid journey through future-leaning soul, dub, hip hop and club sounds, affecting no matter the method. Find joy from some of music’s most compelling figures. Hear diverse voices and feel their expression. Duke Street Block Party represents elevated music and the community it revolves around.

The usually nondescript street, surrounded by warehouses will be transformed once more into an originative space for individuality, otherness and creative exchange. Reverberating with shared frequencies, our site will further spill out to our Bond Street stage creating a diverse spread of performance, food, art and dance to discover. Enjoy a re-imagination of Duke Street illuminated by installation & projection from our finest local artists, and plumped by cherry-picked, local food favourites; all to compliment quality-led musical curation.

Our Bond Street stage will come alive as we welcome local trailblazers, international heavyweights and bonafide legends - A truly diverse spread of dance culture’s most notorious.

Tucked away in the neighbouring car park we lionize otherness and the expression of body movement presented by infamous local party Dutty.

Come experience a truly original lineup of groundbreaking musical minds and connect with our shared community. A statement of our positively entwined scene that stretches across many cultures, continents and artistic ventures. Duke Street Block Party returns for another inspiring all day affair .

This event will take place on the lands of the Wurrundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge their Elders past and present, and pay their respect to all First Nations people. Always Was, Always Will Be.
