Sister Nancy
Crown Ruler & Tribqu proudly presents…
SISTER NANCY (Live / Jamaica)
After stealing the show at Duke Street Block Party - Sister Nancy returns for a special night of heavy dancefloor riddims - Saturday 26th March @ The Night Cat.
“Sister Nancy she one ina 3 million”
In the world of Jamaican music, where female icons are few but mighty, Sister Nancy’s original voice has resonated for decades.
The first female DJ, singer to earn enough respect to rock the microphone live in the dance halls of Kingston. Her all-time dancehall classic, and much sampled ‘Bam Bam’ has reverberated globally, cementing her status as a living legend. After a 40 year long career, her voice maintains. Sister Nancy is a pioneering singer and an unstoppable force. A real bad gyal, she embodies femininity and independence, lighting up stages with her inimitable show.
An unstoppable night - complementing the queen will be France’s DJ Legal Shot (of the heavy Legal Shot Sound), While rounding out this affair will be more infectious riddims from DJs Raphael Wall, Faboo, DJ JNETT and Tribqu head-honcho Zjoso.
Give some signal this Saturday 26th March. Another essential session from a certified legend.
This event will take place on the lands of the Wurrundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. Crown Ruler & Tribqu acknowledge their Elders past and present, and pay their respect to all First Nations people. Always Was, Always Will Be.
