Sun Cycle returns home to Coburg Velodrome for another New Year’s Day celebration

Opening 2022 with a new rotation - Come together for an all day celebration lifted by some of the most cutting-edge figures in music. Produced by the minds of Crown Ruler and WAT Artists, our lineup flaunts the boundless spectrum of dance culture. A blender of outstanding live music and genre-spanning DJs, we connect everything from soul, jazz, hip hop, house, electronica and beyond. Celebrate local favourites and the return of some special international friends

Sun Cycle will provoke and uplift revellers from all senses, featuring installations from our city’s brightest visual artists. The infamous bike track will once again be transformed into an imaginative space for freedom in dance. A site carved out for people to be themselves. Find confidence in community and dream big

Last year, we shapeshifted our look to tread through a compromised environment. The world’s axis shifted, as did our orbit. On NYD 2022, we are returning to our original form

From the sandy floors of the Body Heat stage, where dancers shake and contort themselves with unadulterated freedom, and pulled across by the shine of the Inner Orbit stage, where we witness live acts defining the next frontier in musical movements. Cool off and connect in the Simmer Down tent and indulge in great local food soundtracked by warm hi-fi sound, or simply lay back upon the risen track that orbits our beloved site
